Christmas Tree Pickup
It’s never too early to think about Christmas, right? Troop 89 raises money through its annual Christmas tree pick up in Medfield. It’s a great service with hundreds of Medfield families hiring Troop 89 to take their real Christmas tree to the Transfer Station. We will pick up Christmas trees on the following Saturdays – January 5, 2019 and January 12, 2019. More details on this in either the November or December newsletter.
This is our one BIG fundraiser that supports the troop for the whole year! We need drivers with Class 2 hitches and/or trucks to help on these days. Every parent who has a pick-up truck or hitch helps the Troop make a bigger profit, instead of our paying U-Haul. Please call Mr. Heaney (359-9224) if you can help by driving one of those days. Parents we need your assistance to help make phone calls to confirm and schedule tree pickups. As long as you have access to a phone we could use your help. Call lists of prior year families requesting pickups are provided and calls are generally made the last week of December. Please call Mr. Heaney if you can help with the phone calls.
If you want to help, but don’t have a truck/hitch, or can’t make phone calls there are opportunities to help with publicity, or accompanying a driver – Mr. Heaney will be happy to find a job for you. Thanks!
